Freeport Climate Action NOW has been selected as one of four finalists (out of 36 nominatons) for the Natural Resources Council of Maine’s “People’s Choice Award”, which recognizes individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the protection of Maine’s environment.

The winner will be chosen by votes cast on NRCM’s website between August 19 and September 9.

We are extremely honored to have been selected as one of the four finalists as it acknowledges the endeavors of nearly 1,000 Freeport residents who have volunteered on our behalf or otherwise supported our work in fighting the adverse effects of climate change.

Being selected as the winner would help us secure funding for future initiatives to fight climate change in our community and the broader State of Maine.
